I’ve always believed beauty is more than just skin deep — it’s how you feel when you leave a room, how you carry yourself when you walk into one, and how you take care of the version of yourself the world sees. For me, becoming an esthetician wasn’t just a career choice — it was a calling I didn’t even know I was answering until it was already happening.

I’m La’Niyah, a licensed esthetician, brow-obsessed perfectionist, and passionate lash artist based in Lincoln, Nebraska. I specialize in custom lash extensions, brow design, and intimate waxing, and I’m on a mission to make every woman who walks through my studio doors feel more confident, more radiant, and more like herself.

Where It All Started

I grew up mainly in Lansing, Michigan, and throughout high school, brows were my thing. Girls would literally stop me in the hallway and ask me to teach them how to do theirs. At the time, I didn’t fully realize that beauty could be more than a hobby — but I knew I loved it. I was about 15 when I first discovered what esthetics actually was. It was like something clicked. Still, I wasn’t sure how or when I’d get there. After high school, I worked two jobs — doing what I had to do — until I finally made the decision to go after what I truly wanted.

Taking a Leap of Faith

The only school option near me at the time was Aveda, and honestly, it just didn’t feel like the environment where I would thrive. So, I took a chance on myself and made a bold decision: I moved to Texas at 19 to pursue my esthetics education at The Paul Mitchell School of San Antonio.

It was there that I truly fell in love — not just with brows, but with lashes, skin, and the art of caring for other women through beauty. I graduated in October of 2022, passed my state boards, and officially became licensed in November 2022.

Building Skill, Passion & Purpose

After becoming licensed, I started working at a reputable waxing studio — and while I was there, I spent months behind the scenes studying, practicing, and perfecting my lash craft. I was obsessed with learning everything I could. Not just how to apply lashes, but how to create sets that were custom, flattering, and healthy for each client’s natural lash line.

In June 2023, I made another big move — this time to Nebraska — and with it came a wave of fresh motivation. I knew I was ready to go solo.

Studio Owner — At 20 Years Old

By September of 2023, I officially opened the doors to my very own studio here in Lincoln, Nebraska. I created this space with intention: a clean, calm, empowering environment where women can come not just to look beautiful, but to feel taken care of.

Since then, I’ve been:

Deepening my skills through advanced training & certifications
Studying lash health, mapping, retention, and styling
Curating lash sets that honor your natural features — no templates here
Creating safe, welcoming spaces for brow and waxing clients
Beginning to step into my next chapter — teaching and mentoring other lash artists

I’m still growing, still learning, and still in love with this work every single day
